I know I am jumping way ahead of myself, but I was thinking of getting
a Cab kit and Merlot kit from Washington and blending them. I have only
made one kit and I am only 15 days into it. But I was thinking of
doing something Like this.

1 case Cab

1 case Merlot

1 case Cab70%Merlot30%

1 case Merlot70%Cab30%

1 case Cab50%Merlot50% (Or what is left over)

I love blended wine.

Sounds good to me and this is what is so great about this hobby...you can let your imagination and creativity run wild.

There is actually a company called Elite Vintners that custom blends kits like what you are talking about.

One case of wine consiste of 12 - 750ML bottles. Your math in your original post of this thread would be correct assuming both kits will produce 30 bottles each.

I know how much wine is a case....I am sorry, I guess I was asking is it about two gallons.

Acase (12- 750ml bottles)is about 2 1/2 gallons. I am intrigued by some of the pre-blended kits, I have a LE Camanare/Cab. Sauv. bulk ageing.

Thank you Dave. I just have to figure out how to divide the two batches up into 2 1/2 gallons.
