Blueberry Overload!

Anyone else seeing Blueberries being sold at crazy prices? Our local Smith's (Kroger) had 2lb packages of Blueberries for as low as $0.99 (for the 2lb flat) yesterday. They looked like a few had some mold so they were trying to unload them fast. The "fresh" ones were only $2.99 for 2lb flats!

If I wasn't so busy cleaning 200 bottles and coming up with blends for my 2011 wines just so I can make room for 2013 crush I would be all over about 100lbs of that stuff PDQ.

Apparently there is an abundance of blueberries this year pushing prices down.

Yep, sounds like whats happening for sure. On Monday the same 2lb flat was $4 and I thought that was too good to pass up so snagged one then and have been eating them at breakfast. Perhaps I should freeze some at these prices!
