Book recommedations?

We're going on a trip in a few weeks and I'm looking for a book to bring along. Not a basic "how to" book. I'm looking for something more in-depth and interesting. Maybe something on the history or culture of winemaking? Or organic/biodynamic viticulture? Or wine chemistry and biology? Grape botany? Anything tangentially related to winemaking is fair game. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Paul Lukacs has an interesting review of the history and invention of wine over the last thousands of years. It's a good read and gives perspective on where we stand today
