Glad to know you really like this kit. Other than a Summer wine (O.B.), I have never made a white wine. I do like Viogniers, so I just might get this kit. (Back to work, finally - yeah-h-h-h!!!)

I have thirty new bottles lying in a box; looks like I am ready for another wine rack, too.

Congrats on getting "back to work" Richard!

Just wondering, any idea how this one came out yet or is it still aging?

Have opened my splits and one full bottle. Its good!

Mine is only 9 months right now. I started on 1/5/10. Its just now starting to drink well and it should be much better by Xmas. I am finding on my Whites that they are just not ready (for me) at 6 months.

9 months is about the minimum and at 12 months they are open at will!

I ordered one of these based on the good reviews I've seen about it. I've made kit blends containing Viognier and always love thembut never had a commercial bottle. I made WE VR Viognier and was not impressed. I have high hopes for this one. I usually give whites 1 year to age.

Tasting note update:

Opened another bottle tonight to have with a General Tsao's Chicken stir fry with rice.

Man-o-man does this wine go well with spicy Asian or Tai Cuisine!

It wasn't quite ready for Summer sipping on the patio but its ready for late Fall sipping on the patio by the Chiminea!

Another superb Cellar Craft Showcase kit.

It paired wonderfully with dinner and shows nice melon, tangerine, apricot and pear fruit notes , balanced by very crisp acidity (that cuts the spicy sauce), and finishes with a light floral note.

Man I can't wait to get my hands on the CC Limited release Marsanne-Viognier-Roussanne which is also sourced from Washington state grapes!

Would love some feed back on this one. Just tried mine yesterday and it had shut down. My wine is about the same age as yours. Have you tasted yours in the past month?

I just opened one back in early January I think and it was finally ready for drinking. It didn't seem shut down.

Had a nice bouquet/nose and just a hint of Sulfite....

Thanks! I have no clue what is wrong with mine then. Four months ago it was drinking just fine.

Sometimes they do go through periods of "funk". Not sure what the reason is but some do report this phenomena. It will come around in a few weeks/months at most.
