Brute trash can

After reading all of the recommendations for using Brute trash cans for a primary fermenter I’ve decided now is the time to buy one. I am looking at the 10 gallon cans, but notice they are “vented” to more easily remove trash bags. Would this venting make it next to impossible to thoroughly clean after racking to a carboy? I haven’t seen them myself, I’m just reading descriptions online.

They're fine. I have 10 gal, 32 gal and 44 gal and those vents are wide enough that they can be easily cleaned.

Ditto! I have 20 and 32 gallon. As a bonus they stack neatly, taking up a lot less space when not in use.

I appreciate the answers. My brain (apparently not fully formed yet) was envisioning something along the lines of similar to a vented shotgun barrel. Wow, where was my mind going with that thought!?!?

I agree the venting areas are annoying, but not impossible to deal with. I suggest to you to look at some restaurant supply stores. I found other brands that have the basic cylinder shape and are food grade

You might want to try the 10 Gallon Brute bins. They are white, low and stack well with no vents to deal with. Come with snap-on covers
