We made a Costco run down to ABQ and it was time for our quarterly pickup of wine from Casa Rondeña so I thought I would post some pics of one of our local wineries and vineyards. This is a small/medium winery that has been around really since about 1995 and has been continuously getting better and better.
They are located down by the beautiful Rio Grande Bosque area surrounded by the river and ancient cottonwoods. They grow mainly white wine grapes on the estate grounds while the red wine grapes are grown further south down in the mecca of grape growing for NM these days Deming.
We picked up a bottle of their Animante Port style wine (yum!) as well as their Viognier (yum as well). The wife saw the Chocolate Merlot Wine Fudge and the Chardonnay Caramel Sauce (double yum with the port and some ice cream) so both of those went into the bag as well
Lovely grounds and a great place for a picnic!
These were all shot with my iPhone.
