Well, I was so taken by the beauty of the filming of "Bottle Shock" that I watched it again last night. Then I followed up immediately with "Corked" – which completely snuffed all my warm fuzzies about the wine industry!

I thought it was hilarious. It's a "docu-comedy." It does a good job of showing, um, some aspects of the wine industry that the marketers would just as soon we not see.

If you are looking for warm fuzzies about wine, skip it.

Try Merlove on Netflix streaming. Its a "mocumentory" on Merlot after Sideways came out.

I really wanted to watch Sideways, but I have a thing against paying to watch.

Hope the ads don't read too much into that!

Bottle shock: A great movie (even if it was only 50% accurate)

but..

Sideways: The movie just plain sucks!

1) You have a guy about to get married, and all that is on his mind is a cheap one night stand with any skank he can find.

2) You have the other guy (the wine expert) who is such a looser that he burgles his own mother.

3) You have the "expert" going on and on about how special pinot is. What is so special about pinot? There are pinots everywhere. Shoot, they even make a good pinot in the fingerlakes region of NY state. Even I have made a good pinot.

I loose patience with characters like those in this movie.

(now you know what I really think... Tee Hee).
