i was in flip flops and shorts at 2.30 it was 75 degrees. it is 5 oclock i am in jeans and long sleeve shirt and its 55 degrees...with a 13 mph north wind.
wish mother nature would be consistent.
I know, I know...55 isnt cold to all you northerners but to me at 40 its cold.

Argh James.
We've had over 20 cm of snow over the last 24 hours. Bryan used the snowblower last night on over 2 feet, and this morning it was totally covered over again.

Wearing mukluks, toque, and parka...

ok...i know what mukluks are, i have some, I know what a parka is , i have several....I have no clue what a Toque is, and i am all most afraid to ask you.
lol
as i offered to pumpkinman and several others...I have a 1 bedroom cottage
fully equipped, and its yours for free if you want to warm up...
bring wine...lol

runningwolf does that effect your business...and btw, are you the chef there also for banquets, etc.

It does not effect us. We are currently pressing Late Harvest Vidal grapes. Other wineries are hoping for a very cold period real soon so they can pick grapes for true ice wine while the grapes are still hanging. It has to be 18° or colder when harvested and pressed. I am not the chef.

thanks, we call that a tobogan ..i have a red one so i stand out....lol
glad to hear you are not the chef....not meaning any thing bad..but it would be hard to do what you do, and still cook, etc...you can only do so much...

A toque is a warm hat you wear for winter - with ear flaps or without. I have them in nearly every colour of the rainbow. A toboggan is a motorized sled (think Ski-doo).

If we get desperate, we'll take you up on that offer James! January/February gets very long and very cold around here.

Dan, good luck with the late harvest grape pressing! Wish I could try some of what you make with it :)

Well atleast it is not that cold her the low temp is supposed to be around in the high single digits on friday as I go camping with the Scouts this weekend.

At least our cold front had the courtesy to come through overnight. One day, warmish (53F) rain, the next morning, mid-20's. But I got to dress reasonably for each of those days!

I hear you James.
It was 80 yesterday.
Right now it's 21 degrees here.

66 when I left the house this morning. Approaching 50 about 45 minutes after that. Here it comes...
