Ya the reason I'm asking about that option is because my dilemma is this: it's a flavored port kit that has a specific flavour profile, with only so much flavour to the f-pac. So I feel for this kit that any topping up unless it's with something of flavour or totally similar wine will definitely dilute it. Any liquid including brandy will dilute the flavour. But maybe I'm just over analyzing the whole situation. Going down a size wouldn't really work because I'd have way too much left over. I have a lot less to fill than a gallon. These are 3 gallon batches after all. If I downsized, I'd have to go to 2-1gals and 1-3L container at best... Just seems like a pita to me that's all.
