Does the amount of yeast added make a difference to how fast the fermentation happens

Hello everyone
Very new here so please excuse me for any mistakes I make.
I have 1 gallon of red grapes (not sure what kind, haha.) in a fermentation bucket to which I have added 5 grams of yeast.

So my question is, since I have a small amount of wine and have added a large amount of yeast - will the 'primary fermentation' process be faster than most recomended times e.g 10 days.
Or does the amount of yeast added not make a difference?

Thanks in advance.

The amount of yeast has nothing to do with it. Nutrient is more respomsible for a rapid ferment because it gives the yeast the nitrogen that it needs to allow it to reproduce more rapidly.

I agree with Turock.

You might have a shorter lag-phase, but you primary phase mostly depends on the amount of sugar and nutrients present.

the nominal yeast value required is 1 gram per gallon. as stated proper hydration with a yeast starter and proper addition of yeast nutrient are required. the yeast will grow to billion of cells during the fermentation.
