WineXpert Eclipse - 2 yeasts?

Hopefully not covered ad nauseum previously, but finally sprung for an Eclipse kit after half a dozen or so other Winexpert kits. In looking at the directions and ingredients, I see there are two sachets of yeast instead of one and they are different types - 1118 and 1116. The directions are clear (and generic) that if you have 2 of any ingredient, to add them both but I thought that mixing yeasts was not a good practice and a definate NO - NO. What's the story with this?

I checked with the supplier when I found same, he said to add them both.

This is the Sauvignon Blanc?

Instructions are to add both. I added the 1116 a few hours before I added the 1118, just to give it a head start.

Thanks for the quick replies. The kit is Pinot Gris and into it shall go both yeast strains .....

My Petite Verdot came with two RC212 packets.
