Hello everyone, I have been a home brewer of ale for the last 3 years and this is my first adventure into making wine.
For my ale brewing I use Mr Beer 2.5 gallon fermenters (LBK's "little Brown Kegs"), they fit perfectly into my brewing cabinet 3 on a shelf.
I bought 2 new LBKs for my wine making.
This is the recipe I used -
1 liter Winexpert White grape concentrate
2.25 Lbs sugar
4 tsp acid blend
2 tsp pectic enzyme
2 tsp yeast nutrient
H2O to 2.5 Gallons
Lalvin EC-1118
Stirring twice daily.
First 3 days little activity, then last 3 days percolating away with alot of fine bubbles and very little foam.
My main question is, should I wait for the fermentation to slow down first to rack to the secondary fermenter, or should I just go ahead and rack to secondary by day 7?
Thank you for your input.
