Well, racked the raspberry over to the 'boy this morning and have a pic for ya'll. Came out to about a gallon and a quart total so I filled up the gallon 'boy and a 750ml bottle. Used my coffee filter to filter out the gross lees, though the bottle is a bit cloudy from what got through, it worked great and not much in the 'boy. You can see how milky the bottle looks right now, but also that it has started to settle.Once the sediment settles out of the bottle I plan on turning it into a raspberry vinegar for use in cooking and salads, mmmmmmm. The wine in the gallon is already looking good and looks like it will clear quickly.

Looks good, raspberry was the first fruit wine I made and it is the best yet, my wife and I love it. It is about time to start a new batch.

Almost no sediment made it into the 1 gallon but was getting to the dregs for the bottle. Still had close to 400ml left in the primary, but most was just the gross lees and as it had gotten mixed up good while pouring the first one and then a bit more while pouring the bottle, I figured it wasn't worth it. In the last few hours the bottle has really started to clear, I'll probably get a good 500ml to make into vinegar without filtering.

looks like the bottle is going to drop sediment nicely too. You can already see the "layers" on it.

Nice shiny countertops, by the way.

Great job Brandst butI would shore keep that vinegar away from my wines. They dont socalize too well.

Right now I'm trying to figure out where to make the vinegar. I am making the wine in the kitchen and would prefer to make them in seperate rooms to keep the possibility of cross contamination to nil. I may just have to wait on the vinegar till we move later in the year. Ideally we'll be able to find a place with a finished basement that I can use to make the wine and then bring it up to the kitchen to make vinegar. Of course, we all know how things go so I won't be holding my breath on that one.
