Well I started my first wine kit last friday , a Vino Del Vida , white zin . Followed directions per kit instructions . My SG reading before adding yeast was 1.084 . This morning I took another SG reading and it was at 1.010 . So I guess it is doing what is suppose to do . The thing is , you can only watch and listen to the airlock for so long . Guess I`m what you call addicted to this now :dg . I can see I`m going to need lots more equipment to get a few batches going at once . Well just thought I would update on my first attempt at making wine .

It is very addictive. I have 6 gallons of wine and three gallons of raspberry beer going now. You will be suprised how much stufff you can collect in a short period of time.

Your're in trouble now. I just started in January and I've got three, 6 gallon kits in various stages, one that is ready to start as soon as I get a new carboy, and a 6 gallon juice bucket on order. I just bought a pump and filter system (from Wade, of course) and a pH tester is scheduled to arrive on Monday. Etc., etc., etc., etc. :d

This is a sample I took out of my wht zin . kit to get a better looksy at it . It has been in clearing and stabalizing mode since Tues. night .
