Never heard of this fish, but seems like its good eating, from what it read.

It is a whitefish similar to cod.
I am not a fish eater so I have no clue about the taste.

When I lived in Scotland hake was quite popular and was one of the fish that my grandmother used to buy when she made chopped fish cutlets. I think it is mainly found in Northern European waters. I am a vegetarian and cannot tell you what it tastes like although I think it may belong to the same family as cod.
