Folks I just wanted you to know there are a few more options for floor corkers that we just got in. I understand a few of them are out of reach for most home winemakers but for the small winery they are definitely the way to go.

How much are those barrels in the back?

Sorry Rob not being there right now I'm not sure but you can call the winery in the morning and they'll be happy to quote you a price on them.
Dan, the two floor corkers on the right in the picture, are they manually operated?

Rocky they are manually operated. They are heavy duty but operate smoothly and with less resistance. Plus all the parts are replaceable. When you're using one of these for 8 hours a day several days in a row, it helps to have the right machine. We have customers that even double up on them.

Think for no more bottles than I have to do, I had best stick with my little red one. I can see if you were doing a bunch of them how the others would be great. The red one is really far and away better than the plastic one that I had or have that I had to pound the corks thru. Always something better, tho. Arne.

Plus the $2200 model can double as a Skeet/Trap thrower!

Now that is down right funny :)

Arne I agree. The red one is the best bang for the buck for home wine makers, hands down!

Floor corker saved my marriage. I had a Gilda style hand corker but I could never cork by myself. I would attempt to enlist my wife's help but it always ended in a fight. I literally broke it in two trying to compress a #8 cork. Splurged and got an Italian floor corker and now my wife enjoys bottling!
