I have been wanting to comment on your post for a couple days, but I have been too busy picking to get enough time. Back to it again tomorrow. My harvest is just getting going and will continue for about 3 weeks, ending with Catawba and Concord.

Everything in the vineyard is enjoyable, but picking is the culmination of a years work. Then you get to make the wine from the grapes and enjoy the process for the next year. Then you get to really enjoy the wine for the next several years. So yes, what you did was a ton of fun, but just the beginning.

A/MAN after two times of doing this from scratch i have developed a real insight in just how much work goes into a real harvest and then to process the fruit,a tremendous amount of love and labor, thank god for 5 and 6 gallon buckets of juice,I,ve got to take my hat off to you people who put out a tremendous effort for the wine, and yet it was a greeeeeeeeaaaaaaaatttttt day and I,will do it again for my wine buddy,,some Day i would like to see you and wade in person were not that far from each other it is possible...................
