Just wanted to say I'm so happy to have found this site!
Haven't made wine for a number of years but now I'm starting off again... yay!!!

Starting with home grown Concords which are now in primary fermentation.. hope all goes well with them...

How is it that a couple of the better kit wine manufactures (e.g. Rj Spagnols and Winexpert) come from up your way?

Actually neither are from Ontario. Both are from Canada's west coast (ie Vancouver BC). However Vineco (same owners as Winexpert) is in Ontario.

The kit companies are in Canada because of high liquor taxes. People make the kits to avoid those taxes.

BTW, many more kits are sold in Canada than the USA.
