My name is James. Hello everybody. Got 2 batches of wines going on atm, a white grape one from a kit and my own banana one from scratch.

Rice to meet you all, to meet you all, rice.

Also, combine harvesters.

Welcome to the forum!

I started in January of this year.

I started last week lol.

Thanks for the welcome. How many attempts have you made and how did the first batch taste versus shop bought wine?

Nice of you to ask...

First two batches were RJ Spagnols Vino del Vida kits costing $75.99 each. Did a Pino Noir followed by a Pino Gergio. Both were back sweetened a bit to make them just off dry. My wife and I were very happy with the drinking results. My wife particularly liked the Grigio and said something like she'd value the wine at about $10.00 per 750L bottle.

Following the above I've started a RJS Winery Series Washington Merlot (Still Bulk aging but will be bottled next month)), a White Zinfandel MM All Juice kit (bottled just 3 days ago), a second Pino Grigio (bulk aging) and finally a second Pino Noir that's just about finished fermenting.

My first batch was Welch's grape juice. Not bad at all. My second batch was made from cherries - wow! All I can say is that you should keep reading these forums as they are a wealth of insight.
