Figured I'd join up and learn a bit since I have a lot to learn.

Recently inherited a small orchard and vineyard and while I'm not entirely new to wine making I've jumped into it now head first!

Have a few kits under my belt and right now have the following either in a primary or secondaries.

Blackberry Merlot (kit)

Strawberry Riesling (kit)

Aussie Shiraz (kit)

Nanking cherry

Plum

Strawberry

Recently bottled 35 gallons of apple as well.

Looking forward to participating!

Welcome to our site! Have yiou tried upping the abv on those Mist kits? Lots of us do that by adding about 3 lbs of dissolved sugar n primary to boost that abv of the kit to around 10% which doesnt effect the flavor much but makes it much better and much more stable to be able to cellar for awhile. The 7% abv that these kits make is not good for cellaring.

Welcome

Welcome UBB,

It looks like you'vre jumping in all the way... 35 gallons :d.

Cheers,

Paul
