Well, I already am having a good day. I'm about to bottle the "wine cooler" (Blackberry Merlot) my Mom and I went in "halfsies" on back in May, for late summer drinking. Just finished tending to the Alljuice "Birthday" Barolo that I started a day or so ago - after the $5 birthday discount from FVW! Woo hoo!
And all this before the kids (6 and 3) get up and have to get to school!
Birthday party is tonight at my folks' house - we'll be taste-testing/comparing my AllJuice Nero d'Avola, started in Oct. 2008 and bottled in April 2009, to 3 other commercial Nero d'Avolas and grilling and eating some of that Cabernet Rib-eye discussed in another thread. And our family's tradition of a from-scratch Waldorf-Astoria Red Velvet cake (slightly modified version) for dessert - just about every birthday, every year for the last 26-27 years.
It's gonna be a good day!
