Just a quick 'hello' from a very hot and sunny England. I have been making wines (including a 20% proof coffee wine !), beers, marmalades, jams and chutneys for only a short period of time but am hoping to do more in future. I am looking forward to getting to know you all - and for hopefully exchanging tips and hints !

Best wishes - Rob from England:D

Hi Rob

Welcome! Im Lewis, I only joined a few days ago and I'm in Manchester!

I'm awaiting all my equipment and two wine kits to arrive in the next few days to start making my very first batches! ;)

Sure we'll be able to trade stories at some point! And welcome, once again!
Lewis

Welcome Rob!!
PLEASE!! Post chutney recipes in the food section!! I love that stuff!!

Welcome. I'm new to the forum also, but have enjoyed reading everyone's stories. There is another person on this forum that makes coffee wine, but I can't remember who it was.

Rob, welcome to the forum. It seems we have been discoverd by the English wine makers this week with several new members from there joining.

When you have a few minutes please check out "The Map" and add a marker for yourself if you like. You will see several member markers in GB and we would love to see some more.

Done - I'm now officially on the map ! I have also put on my favourite brewing haunt too - what they don't know isn't worth knowing !

Thank you

Many, many thanks to everyone for such a lovely, warm welcome : If we should ever meet in a bar, the pinot grigio is on me....

Rob, welcome to the forum. If you are familiar with making alcoholic Ginger beer would you check out my thread under beer making? I'm asking because I understand that England and Jamaica are the two remaining countries that still make the stuff. Thanks.
