Hello from Maine

I've been posting for awhile and forgot to introduce myself. I'm very new at wine making. It only took me a year to really get started I was so scared. I really enjoy reading everyones post. There is so much to learn. But everyone has been so helpfull. Ok, this is what I have so far:

Suncal Cabernet Sauvignon. My first batch. It turned out great too. The only thing is I wish I had waited longer to drink it. I am saving 2 bottles that have been aging for about 4 months. I now see why you say age it. 5 gallons made.

Country Fair mixture of Blackberry & Elderberry bottled. 5 gallons made.

Suncal Lambrusco 5 gallons. In carboy clearing. (on the suggestions of the very smart folks here who told me to wait to bottle)

Country Fair Mixture of Strawberry & Peach in 6 gallon carboy clearing

RJ Spagnols Gran Cru 10L Gewurtztraminer that I am going to start soon. :h

Hi Gumjump,

Welcome to winemakingtalk. LOL, you are doing the same thing that everyone else on here has done. Make and drink, don't worry before you know it you will be making wine and aging it for a year before you drink it. It will happen sooner than you think.

I really think you are going to think the kits produce a much better wine then the Sun Cal! Glad to have you on our site!

:try Congrats on entering a GREAT hobby! ...err OBSESSION
Seams like the bug bite you big time as you can't get much ahead before you drink all of it... :h
