Hola Amigo's!

Thought I would stop by and introduce myself. Some of you know me from another winemaking forum that I moderate on. I have been making wine for 18 months now. I seem to be like a lot of us on these boards, addicted to pitching yeast on a frequent basis......

I have 21 kits under my belt ATM and this past Summer planted Corot Noir, Noiret and Marquette vines to see how they would grow in my area and if they would thrive and make a decent wine. I took my first foray into wine from fresh grapes this Fall with 200lbs of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from down South of me in Deming, New Mexico. I am looking forward to expanding the fresh grape adventure and using kits to fill in as things progress down the road.

I am originally a native Texan (San Antonio) that escaped 25 years ago and moved to the cooler, drier climes of Northern New Mexico (just outside Santa Fe). I am an :rdo Analytical Chemist :rdo by trade and enjoy analyzing things way too much and trying to make a better wine by knowing the numbers instead of trying to get lucky.

Looking forward to meeting some new friends and hanging out with some old ones as well over here!

Happy New Years Eve!

:f1

Welcome here Mike and glad to have you. My friends, this is Mike who works with me on the FineVineWines forum and is a great help and has a chemistry back ground unlike myself so can be of great help here.

Welcome from PA. Glad you hopped on over here. Analytical well we just might get along real well although friends use another term for me. They use the 1st 4 letters only. :)

enjoy the forum. Good luck with your grapes

Mike, first and foremost welcome to the forum my friend. Folks Wade says Mike has a chemistry background but watch out for his robots. For those of you who remember Lost In Space, don't challenge him in any episodes. Mike has them all memorized! All in all a new member with a wealth of information that is still learning the ropes with the rest of us. :b

Welcome Mike! Try not to analyze to many of us on here... You might run the other way... hahaha

Whats up Mike....

I have been wondering when I would see you here.

This is a great forum also...
