My name is Joe! So, far all I have done are kit wines where everything was included in a single box and the only worry I had was cleaning all my supplies to make a good wine at home. I recently made strawberry wine out of fresh strawberries. It has been raked once and I am bout to rack it for the second and hopefully last time before bottling. I am now looking at using juices and concentrates. I joined this group to get some valuable peer insights into the world of wine making. Cheers!

You will see lots of posts on WMT which are asking what are the numbers? In grandpa’s day all wine making was done by taste, taste works if you are sensitive to balance and can name off flavors. With grape the juice and especially juice from an area like Napa valley the flavors as acid and sugar are in balance without adjusting.
