First I just want to say I am super excited to have found this site, I am generally very shy on these kind of sites, but I need help!! I am really new to wine making (I have a Riesling from a kit aging now and I just started an Orange wine for the summer), and I believe I am overthinking and therefore overwhelming myself. I have a ton of questions and I am finding alot of answers just reading the threads. I know I have found a great place for help and input!! On a side note..I am from RI originally and a Pats fan, but I am married to a Steelers fan (hes a Yankees fan too so we are DEFINATLY a mixed marriage) So, for the seemingly predominant PA members...Go Steelers...(only because the Pats whiffed it in the 4th :slp )

Glad to have you aboard but sad to say that you have just started a hobby that will take over your house before you know it! :) Feel free to ask what ever you need as thats why we are here! Dont be shy, we are a very very freindly group here and have lots of fun, usually at my expense but hey I love a good joke so let em fly!

Welcome aboard Mamabean. You certainly found the right place. Feel free to pop in anytime and ask questions. Give us all of the details like recipe, temp and sg reading's (beginning and current) when asking questions. Your husband not only has good taste but now he has a wife that will make great wine.

Welcome Mama, I have a family cabin up in Wells... a bit of a haul from where you are... beautiful area though

Welcome Mamabean. You did indeed find a great place for answers and freindly advice. Back in the late 70's I used to go on college ski trips to Vermont. Such a beautifle place. Pico, Bromely, Killington, Mount Snow. I really miss going there. The towns where so quint and post card pictureesque.

Hi Mamabean. Have fun and don't be shy here. You are right across the lake from me. Hope the snow wasn't too bad for you yesterday. We had about 15 inches over here.

Welcome to another NE'lander. Hey Dufresne11, we have a family place in Poultny. Maybe we can all get together up there some time and do a tasting on the lake. You're welcome to come down Mama.

Sounds like fun, always looking for new places to set up the camper and have some sippies around the fire!

Hey! Sounds like you're off to a good start. I'm also confused but mostly on what to make next!
A New England get together sounds great.

Welcome Mamma! This is a great place to ask questions and everybody is very willing to lend hep so do not be shy here... By the way I was born and raised around Lake George NY so you are not to far away from there. Also side note the only channel we could get when I was a kid was channel 3 from Burlington VT... hehehe those were the days huh one channel and black and white TVs... hahaha sorry showing my age there... LOL Welcome!

You are about 35 miles away. Check in next summer. My tasting room is being finished up now and you can try some wines, sit on the patio and maybe even set the camper up at one of the nearby campsites on the lake.

Welcome to the forum. I've learned sooooooo much in the last month. But I have sooooooo much more to learn. You came to the right forum.
Good Luck!
