Yummy. I just opened a quart of tomato juice I canned last summer. Wow that stuff is great in the winter. I don't know if anyone else does this, but when the tomato juice pulp settles it leave a clear yellowish liquid on top. I pour that off first and enjoy it seperately. We called that liquid sunshine when I was a kid.

I just wish I had more than about 20 jars of juice. the quartered tomatos I canned have also been good in soups, but sipping home made tomato juice might be better than wine or at least a close second.
 
I've wanted to get started making my own canned tomato juice and canned stewed tomatoes but just about the time i was gonna do it, we bought a house.. still trying to figure out the yard here, but im hoping to have a garden somewhere for sure..

My grandparents were big on it, and i guess part of me just wants to keep the tradition alive... Plus i know its healthier, and its not that hard.. And i can grow a mean tomato :)


Long story short: im jealous
