Big front coming thru our area.{central Nebraska} Has been really warm for this time of year and dry. Less than 25% humidity. Farmers have been cutting beans, and we have had fires. Everything was so dirty from bean dust, one little spark on the combine and the field was on fire. Fires started from hot bearings, engine exhaust and anything else that could make a little heat. Anyway we are safe for a little while. This will keep the folks out of the fields til it drys up some. When they get back out, the humidity will be down some. And when they can get out again, the ones that are done with the beans will be starting on corn, but the corn is not quite as bad for fires. Take care all, if you need it I hope you get some of this moisture. Arne.

Good to hear you guys got sprinkled on. I know what the dry seasons can be like, no fun.

We just got about 30mm of rain yesterday, rained nonstop all day. It's kind of relaxing when it does that every so often.

Over here we are 24" above what we typically get and finally its been dry for a whole week so all the rivers are finally starting to get back down to normal levels. Maybe I can get out there and do some trout fishing again!!!

I hear ya Wade. Wanted to get back out crappie fishin this weekend, but massive cold front with rain and wind keepin me at home. Maybe next week. Runnin out of fishin time before winter arrives. Arne.

What about ice fishing? Glad you have rain now. I think we've had rain for 2-3 weeks. Seems like everyday but it was way to much. This is the 1st nice weekend in a while. The sunny areas of the yard are finally dry and the mushrooms are going away.

Hey Arne we got some rain up here today in the northeast corner of the state of Ne.

Jack,
We let a little of it go by us so you could have some. As of yesterday we had over 2 inches, havn't checked today and every time I woke up durning the night could hear it dripping off the house. Will stop the harvesting for a few days. Sure helps with the allergies and keeping the dust down, tho. Take care, Arne.

Rain can be good, but ... my wife and I are visiting relatives here in Scotland and it's rain every day - one day of sun in 2 weeks!! It's been like that June here; it'll be nice to get home and dry out.
Cheers!

You guys don't know what rain is. Come to Costa Rica during our 7 month long rainy season with the heaviest falling in Sept and Oct. Walking across our yard is like walking through a swamp because it is so overly saturated.

Mike

We have definitely had quite a bit more rain this year......it is strange to see everything still so green! All the grass is usually fried and dead by August from lack of precipitation
