I had a case of wine in the trunk of the car. Unfortuneatly, I forgot it was there until the other day when it was -3 degrees. I brought it inside and realized I made ice wine! Ok, ok, I know that's not how you make ice wine. LOL. I had 3 different wines in the case. Red Grape/Cranberry/Pomegranate 12.6% ABV, Banana 15.8% ABV and Pear/Apple 13.8% ABV. The corks were pushed out on the 12.6% ABV, but the other 2 were fine. I recorked them and they are fine now. Typically I don't worry about the freezing because the ABV is pretty high; however, -3 degrees is a bit extreme even for Chicago.
