WineXpert International series are 18L plus skins?

I was just talking to a vendor and I didn't know that sometime last year these kits now bring 18L of juice PLUS the grape skins pack.

I remember my Brunello last years was 16L of juice and the skins.

So, if these kist are 18L of juice plus the skins pack, what would be the difference with the Eclipse series which also bring 18L of juice plus the skins pack (except for their Pinot Noir)?

I just checked the initial video that Tim V. did for the roll out of Eclipse. In it he states that the red kits are 16ltr of juice and 2ltr of grape pack. I just called my retailer and they verified that.

right, but then they changed them last year to 18L plus the grape skins pack.

I think that is likely just wishful thinking. I went to my LHBS yesterday. All the grape-pack ones were marked 18L. Some of the non-grape-pack ones were marked 18L, and some were marked 16L.

Granted, I cannot exclude that my LHBS (Northern Brewer) has only old stock, but I think Occam's razor would suggest that your vendor was confusing the (easily confusable) issue of whether the "18L" figure includes the grape pack or not. If they really were now 18L+grape pack, wouldn't WE be trumpeting this from the rooftops? Their website does not even give the volume of any of those kits.

this site only sells WE kits, nothing else for kits and he really knows and has knowledge on WE kits.
I asked him are you really positive? and he was sort of chuckling, like I was doubting him.

Anyhow, I'd really know if anyone has measured the qty of the juice on those Selection International to see if indeed 18L, aside from the grape skins pack.

Well, that would be fantastic if true. 2L of concentrate would weigh about 5lbs, so should be easily discernible by weighing the box.

The current page for WE kit instructions (http://www.winexpert.com/kit-instructions) lists only "Selection with Grape Skins - 18L" and "Selection 16L" as choices in the Selection Series.
