I paid for my 200 pounds of Sonoma CA SAUV today and will be taking the 18 hour drive down next month. On way back I will stop in Yakima Valley and get my 150 pounds of Syrah. Man I am so glad I am working this year. Last year sucked when the only thing I could ferment in December was frozen berries I had in freezer and honey. I think I will also go to Chelan and get some Riesling too. They dont need to be prepaid like the others. God, I love this hobby

I finally just received a list yesterday! Havent decided what Im making yet. Wont be much this year after buying the crusher destemmer and press but have to break this puppy in a little. Most likely just a white this year with maybe a small batch of Petite Syrah.

Just went down and ordered my 3 lugs of Lodi Chard & Suisan Valley Petite Sirah.

Hey Wade, we gave away over a ton of grapes today at the Willsboro vineyard to the volunteers. There were several that lugged off 20-25 bags of grapes with about 20 pounds in each!

I have brought home about 500 pounds the last couple days. They are part of the 10 varieties I have the honor of making wine for as part of the vineyard reseach and outreach projects. Man are the grapes nice this year- very big clusters and great numbers for cold hardy grapes. Are you jealous yet? Good!:)

Great choice, the lodi chard rules,my brother Claud.makes lodi chard every year and im blown away with it.The SVPS well this is the best petite syrah in my book and the others.Cheers and Happy Crushing.

All my grapes are cold hardy varieties now afte pulling the cab franc this year. I have about 15 varieties that I have been researching at home and I tend a 25 variety Cold Hardy Grape trial at the Cornell Willsboro Farm in, you guessed it Willsboro NY right on the shore of Lake Champlain. Yields are tremendous this year with brix levels up to about 25 brix on some varieties. I read some this week at home that had single berry samples of 32 brix. I expect them to average about 26 brix when I harvest them in a few days. Acids are just about perfect this year.

The rest of the state also has great numbers, so if you are near NY, you can't go really wrong getting some of them. Great selection- everything from vinifera to hybrids to native american varieties.

Im pretty sure my back is not jelous thinking of it but I have never done it so maybe my back would be fine. Besides, with all the wine I have here already I wouldnt know what to do with quantities like that. I have these 2 batches that will have to be started and I also have 2 - 5 gallon pails from Walkers Fruit Farm ready to go along with 18 lbs of Eledrberries, 18 lbs of Currants, 12 lbs of Blackberries. This winter I also want to make a batch of the Pecan wine that Non-Grapenut recently gave me the recipe for and I think that may be it. I really do have way too much wine here and want to send a few bottles to various peopel here but havent had much money yet to do so and now my wife wants me to get going on the basement again which has been on hold for awhile due to funds.

Rock, is that by any chance the same place you got yoyur P.S. grapes cause if this batch comes out 1/2 as good as yours Ill be happy although I dont have a barrel to age it in so cubes or spirals it will have to be this year, this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bwaa haa haa!
