Waldo;: nice bunch of fish. When I lived in San Diego they use to have the grunion runs, this was where a bunch of tiny fish would come ashore to lay eggs. It was quite an event where they would broadcast the arrival over the radio. We would take some beer down to the beach and hope they arrived. people would fill buckets with them I think to can??? I did eat some before, but they are really small..

My buddy from West Virginia is a "ramp" professional. I have never tried one, but he swears by them! Did you ever hunt dry land fish? It's a mushroom that grows wild and when dipped in egg and flour and fried, produces a dish very similar to fresh fish. My Dad is a champ in this field! I wouldn't know one if it jumped up and slapped me
