Where do you buy your glassware?

I know it's not hardcore wine making, but I buy most of that on Amazon. They have beakers, flasks, cylinders, and anything else in various sizes. Sometimes I'll get plastic, instead of glass, and all that is easy to find. It's interesting to just go through the Lab & Scientific area to get ideas.

I have found some excellent deals on eBay, e.g. a 2000 ml flask for ~$10, a set of 4 beakers (100 ml to 400 ml) for ~$12, and a 250 ml graduated cylinder for ~$10. Just search "lab glassware" and you will find a ton of stuff.

I buy all of it at www.cynmar.com , I prefer glass over plastic except for graduated cylinders. These guys just tip over way to easy with clumsy hands and they're a fraction of the price of glass. I use Erlenmeyer Flasks (1000 ml) for yeast starters and blending bench trails, and regular beakers a lot. You can get a whole set of plastic graduated cylinders for less than 25.00 I fill the most usefull of those, is the 100ml. Opps sorry you didn't ask what to buy.

I've visited and/or purchased from most of the places mentioned in the past. The order I'm placing now seems to have just the right mix of stuff that none of them have everything I'm looking for.

I found another supplier that has everything and also allows the quantities I'm after. I just placed the order, so I can't give any feedback on them yet.

So far, so good. Included in my order were two different stir bars. One of the two are out of stock. Instead of just getting a shipment with an item back-ordered, I got a phone call asking if it was acceptable to substitute the next size longer bar at the same price.

A phone call for a sub-$3 item.

No, it wasn't an automated attendant. It was a person making a phone call to make sure I was happy with the order.
