Hi there. I'm new to this forum... Was just wondering if anyone has made this limited edition kit, and if so, what are your early impressions of it.

Racked into secondary 2 days ago. SO, early impressions will not be available until late NOV 2009.

Started mine on Feb 20 and just degassed and added fining agents tonight. Since there was about a half cup too much to put back in the carboy I drank it. Very nice. The promised body is there. Nice dry cabernet. I'll rack to clear in a couple weeks and then let it sit for another couple months. I usually bottle at about 4 months.

So what's your impression?

I started mine on Feb 9, so my wine is currently bulk aging. I thought the wine has a lot of promise - the body was good, and the cab was nice and oakey. Can't wait to taste this in a year! In the mean time, I think I'm going to run out and buy another one of these kits (as the place where I buy my kits has some left!!)
