my vineyard supply store sold me five gals of lime sulfer for powdery mildew…. The literature is sorely lacking on this, can I use this safely during the season in place of sulfer to prevent powdery mildew? In southern oregon, the Applegate valley. Thx.

use it in the winter/early spring before bud break and on fruit trees and berry plants e.g. raspberries with dormant oil (kill insect eggs). Lime is hard on the leaves in the summer. I use kumulus S (powdered sulphur) with potassium bicarbonate to control powder mildew after bud break every 2 weeks until early veraison when I stop to keep sulphur away from the grape skins.
