Lingering smell from previous batch in wine bucket

Made a batch of DB a few weeks ago and the smell is still there. I was going to start a new WE white wine kit tonight but worried flavors might carry over.

Just wash it really good, and sanitize it before starting the next.
I've had this happen myself, but never noticed any carryover.

Made an Apple-Pear right after a batch of Blackberry, and everything came out fine

I soak in PBW and that seems to remove the smells from the buckets.

I've got a 20 galoon brute that has had so many apples in it that I pop the lid and get high from the apple wine smell.
