D47What yeast comes with the Chard?
You can always use it on another kit to replace the EC1118...If I knew it before I also bought a packet.....
Split it into two 3-gallon batches and turn it into a yeast comparison.Great! That is probably what I was going to use any way. I also have some QA23 on hand, so I will have to make the call.

Damn, I was trying to get you to do all the heavy lifting... I only have two 3-gallon carboys, but I'm more than willing to trade any two of my 6-gallon carboys for two 3-gallon.Hmmmmm, pourquoi pas? I don't have 2 three-gallon carboys, but fermenting separately and blending them in a 6-gallon carboy doesn't seem to have any downsides? I was planning to age sur lie with the D47. Anyone know how QA23 is for aging on the lees?
They're not M.V. kits, they're re-boxed RJ'S R.Q.'s...I bought the Philosophie Chardonnay. I'm interested to try the MV kits.
Got it.They're not M.V. kits, they're re-boxed RJ'S R.Q.'s...
This is a good thing, as RJ'S R.Q.s tend to be high quality whereas the regular M.V. kits seem to be much more concentrated than others..Got it.
