Bet it was either a Chilean Carmenere or Malbec

Can you imagine what they went through! I watched the first guy come up live and most of the ones through the day Wednesday, including the last miner - the shift foreman.

What they must have felt those first 11 days, wondering if anyone was even trying to find out if they were dead or alive. How the foreman rationed the food so that a 2 day ration of food lasted 11 days. How they all lasted together without killing each other.

The results are heart warming; what their government did, how the world was so behind them, and how the miners responded. Those miners surely didn't need this to happen, but I think that in a strange sort of way, the world did, so it can once again realize that 33 men out of several billion are still important and worth saving.

I hope they put that capsule on tour around the world. For me it would be a privilege to see it, because of what it represents, not just to Chili, but to mankind in general.

There's hope for us all!!!

Ditto.

It find this whole thing heart warming. To think that the media could focus on a triumph of human endeaver. Agreed... There is always hope for us all.

That said, I was surprised that the minor who has the mistress was not last up. If it were me, and knowing that two women were waiting up there with rolling pins in hand, I might not be in such a hurry to get out.

I can joke about this now. All are alive and safe. Now is time to be proud and find some humor in it all. Please take no offense.

I just saw on the news that a local wine maker is giving them free wine for a year! I wonder if theu have a daily cap? :)

That is really incredible. Work is work, but to do so underground and in some tight spaces too. It was great for a change to see something successful come from miners being trapped.
Too many times the ending is not as good.
I hope they enjoy the time they get before they get back at it.
They are stars through out the world right now, but soon the fame will be gone and they will have to descend back into that hole in the ground.
