Morro Bay weekend

Spent 3 days at Morro Bay, Ca and it was cool. Here are a few pictures of the west coast for ya'll:


Coming into Morro Bay you see the 'rock'. It's a big 'un and is seen for miles.

Stopped at Rotta Winery in Paso Robles - the first winery - established 1908. Lots of great stuff around from the old days and their wines are wonderful.

This is the new door for Al's and Rich's new winery. This greets you at Eagle Castle Winery in Paso Robls, Ca.after you cross over the moat!!

This is the new tasting room and fun area for our friends at La Belle Winery in Terra Bella, Ca. This is in Morro Bay and will be open by years end. I sent them this photo and told them that I had the first glass of wine at their new facility.

stopped at a 'candy store' on the way home. This is at Vintners Vault, a commercial winery supply in Paso Robles, Ca. Needed some supplies for our harvest coming soon. This place could do some serious damage to you!!! This is where the big boys play www.thevintnervault.com

this probably is where lots of marigold seeds come from. There are fields and fields of the flowers in this area and they are beautiful!!

Great pictures Rick. I see you needed that last bit of inspiration before harvest. You should be all set now. Winery with a moat! Is it filled with wine? And maybe a fountain running with a white wine? That would be nice. Just go over with a wine glass and fill 'er up.


Fields of seed flowers are always impressive to look at. The closest I can come to that are the sunflower fields and maybe springtime apple blossoms on thousands of acres.

We drove right past it on our trip last month. Beautiful place for sure. How did you get Rotta winery to let you guys get BEHIND the bar!
