personally I stir 1-2 times a day, normally just once a day though when i check the gravity and temp, are the strawberries in a bag or floating free?

OK, I took a look at it and there's foam starting to form on top and I can still hear the crackles so sounds like its going well, should I take an S.G. test everyday? Or every other day?

your choice on that, i like to check every day for notes, so i can compare later on, so it looks like

date, temp, gravity, other notes

I have 2- 6 gallon Carboy, 2- 5 gallon Carboy, 1- 3 gallon Carboy, 2- 7.9 gallon primary fermenters, auto siphon, wine thief, air locks and bungs for all, 3- hydrometers, all kinds of chemicals, and etc.

looks like you are well on your way to full blown addiction welcome to the club we are here to help and if necessary drink any and all of your wine that doesnt taste good to you :)

My strawberry wine is taking off like crazy!!! I walk into the garage and it sounds like a huge bowl of rice crispies going off, I walk over there, lift the lid a little and I see a lot of foam, I moved a little out of the way with my stirring spoon and it look like my stuff was on a low simmer!

it will change up and smell differently, as long as it doesnt smell like rotten eggs you should be good to go

yeah im getting a strong smell from my pear wine i just started, ive been through several different wines and none have smelled like this, my wife is complaining hahah

Haha mine isn't yet, I checked my S.G. and its down to 1.042, my yeast are having a party. It's fizzing so loud I can hear it about 6 ft away
