Hi.
I like red wines with strong powerful taste, like Rioja Faustino.
Is it possible to buy wine kits that gives a powerful wine?

I've tried Nonne Noir Rioja and La Mancha Rioja, and they were "okay", not so powerful in taste.

I'm considering a Winexpert kit with grape skins, maybe this will give a more powerful wine?

I'm planning to age the wine 6-12 months before drinking.

Can anyone please give me an advice in what kind of kit I should choose?
Thank you...

Grape pack kits do make more powerful wines. I just bottled a Tempranillo that tastes great at 6 months in the carboy. I bet that after 6 more in the bottle this will be a good wine.

You might try the Winery Series Super Tuscan, this maybe the taste your looking for. I have made a couple Wineexpert kits (I admit there not my fav) I prefer Celler Craft and RJ Spangnols Winery series, both with skins, I said that for full disclosure. Either way IMHO, stick with kit wines with grape skins.

The Selection International Spanish Tempranillo with grapeskins might be exactly what you are looking for. It's a very dark and full flavored wine with plenty of tannins that you'll feel in your whole mouth/palate. 120grams of primary placed oak and 60 grams of secondary oak cubes really help.

Any Limited Editions I have done from WE have been excellent. They are only available for one season so you would have to get on it. The Italian Nebbiolo with skins is coming out in April and should be HUGE. You could start a less expensive kit now and have some experience and confidence under your belt by April.
