hi, my names michael and i live in yeovil, somerset. i have a lot of apples and pears that need pressing, put have no press, if anyone is local who would like a share of the fruit for use of their press for a day that would be great.

You could just core them and slice them into halves or quarters and freeze them instead of trying to press them. That is if you have the freezer space.
 
Yup - sprinkle some absorbic acid on the apples to prevent browning - freeze them - then once they thaw add some k-meta 12 hours later add pectic to it. Should juice nicely.
 
Freezing is indeed the best option if you do not have a press available or a budget for a press.

You can get about 70% gain from freezing and presing by hand which is easily done.

Core the apples, leave the skin on and freeze them.

Make sure to use pectic enzyme when you have the juice ready otherwise you might trouble clearing the wine.
