No airlock bubbling

My son and I started doing wine kits about two and a half years ago. We're on our 14th kit. It's an RJS En Premier Super Tuscan. We're 8 days into primary fermentation, and this is the first kit that never bubbled through the air lock. On the good side, I believe, is that it smells normal, and the SG, which started out at 1.097 is in range at 1.016.

Should I be concerned?

And yet another example of airlocks that just flat out lie to you. The prescence or lack thereof of bubbles in them is of little too know concern. Your sg is going down. Fermentation is happening. Carry on, don't worry.

Your lid could be cracked/no longer able to fully seal or just not snapped on tight everywhere. I’ve experienced both...
