I live about 40 miles north of Atlanta. I have a mini-vineyard (minyard?) of 30 French Hybrids (Cynthiana / Norton and Old Spanish / Lenoir). Yes, both varieties have two names. So last year I had 6 vines in production, picked a bushel of grapes and made one gallon of wine. This year 20 vines, next year all should be in fruit. Monitoring Brix levels now and getting ready to harvest soon.
I also have 8 muscadine vines, 3 are over 20 years old and the other 5 are in their 3rd year.
I'm looking for a good way to crush a small'ish quantity of grapes. Besides by hand or foot, but I haven't ruled out those options either. And, of course, advice as I go from grape to bottle.
Google my forum name to see my garden / vineyard notebook.
