So I got back to town after my road trip with Rocky. As some of you may have read, the Brunello's sg was pretty low and there wasn't much activity in the juice. The Barolo I got was a little higher but was foaming like a rabid dog. I re-racked both juices in to fermenting buckets (i added grape packs) and placed them in the hot tub. That's a little tub of warm water with an aquarium heater and water pump. now I'm not an idiot and when I re-racked I labeled each one. When they got up to the proper temp a went to ad the yeast. Funny, the Brunello looking like a purple people eater getting ready to shave (foamy) and the Barolo wasn't doing much. funny how things changed so quickly!! after tracing my steps I (think) came to the conclusion that I some switched the lids around (where the labels were). I may never know for sure who's who. I guess we will have to have a DNA (taste) test later!!!!
