How long should or can you leave the fruit fermenting in the primary.
I've heard 5 days. Can it be left in any longer without it spoiling?
 
You need to check the gravity. Most transfer to the secondary when it is below 1.030, but as long as you have active fermentation you will be fine. Edited by: Steve
 
This I know, but I need to know when to take the fruit out of the must. Thanks Steve
