Please help identifying this grape vine disease

Location: Backyard in NYC
Grape Type: Vanessa Seedless, 1 year old.

Symptoms: Small black spots on leafs ->leafs hardened and curled -> turning yellow and brown.

Could this be black rot?

No not black rot. It looks like it could be damage from feeding small insects, not sure which ones but black rot spots would be on the upper leaf and be larger and brown, not black.
