Portuguese / Italian Corkers

Does anyone know if the plastic jaws in a Portuguese corker can be replaced with the brass jaws of an Italian corker?

Talking about Italian corkers reminded me of a ? i have. My Italian corker has a lot of rust below the brass jaws. I think too much K-meta on my corks caused it. Any ideas how to "lubricate or stop" the rusting. Roy Fightingtown Creek Wines

I use alcohol to sanitze my corker to prevent that from happening.

Anyone know if you can buy replacement iris for the Port Floor Corker. Mine is in good shape just wondering for down the road.

Me too Dan. I give it an alc. rubdown after each use. I think there's something about men who think alike.
