The newly married couple are in bed when the man asks his wife how many men she has slept with. After the question, the woman does not respond.
The man asks again “Just tell me, it’s fine. How many men have you slept with?” His wife, still in total silence, just stares at the ceiling.
The man says “I am sorry. I did not mean to upset you. I just thought we could trust each other.” Still silence from his wife.
The man, giving up, says “It’s OK. Please don’t be upset.” Since the woman is still silent, the man starts hugging and kissing her, showing his affection.
While he is doing this, his wife seems to come to her senses, stops looking at the ceiling, looks at him, and says, “Damn it! You made me lose count!”

I have seen ads like this before. Sears used to sell something similar. Did the year show up anywhere? Had to be early 1900's. Amazing that $938 could buy all this. Of course, a considerable amount would be spent on the foundation and brickwork on the front porch, probably about half of the rest of the cost. Not crazy about the floor plan, with the bathroom on the first floor, but, hey, for that amount!
1916 SEARS ROEBUCK MODERN HOMES
With its exposed rafters and Craftsman-style clustered porch columns, this is an uncommonly "artistic" Foursquare. Four bedrooms are upstairs, but in an unusual spin, the bathroom is located downstairs next to the kitchen. A large reception hall imposes more formality on the plan than might otherwise be expected, but overall, the room flow is good.
In the 1923 catalog, the plan is renamed as the Woodland and comes in two variations. The first, like the 1916 model, is a four-bedroom with the bathroom located on the main floor. The second plan has a large closet on the main floor, and the bathroom is moved to the second floor with five small bedrooms.
I grew up in a Sears home in the country. When my parents bought it in 1958, it still had no bathroom, so they turned a downstairs bedroom into a bathroom. Special wedding gift! Dad still lives there enjoying all the benefits of modern living.
I bought a small 3 BR ranch in 1982. Unbeknownst to me, it was a Sears package deal that was built around 1958. A neighbor told me the history, but otherwise I'd never have known. There was nothing that I saw to indicate it was a kit. (Yes, it had a bathroom!)

True story: A coworker was telling me in the break room that she had just gotten back from a trip to New Zealand. I said, "We've always wanted to go to New Zealand." Immediately on return to my office, my internet feed was JAMMED with New Zealand tourism ads for 3 weeks. Coincidence? I was wearing my phone when we talked.
