But my fav story was when TIME magazine ran an ad with a dollar bill in it. They had printed about a million copies off at the plant when some wag got the idea of cutting out the dollar and trying it in a coin-changer vending machine. It worked! Well dayum. They had to trash all those magazines at huge expense and then reduce the size of the dollar and change it a bit. So, that was that, right? Well, no. While printing up the new magazines, some other pressman got a wild idea. He started wondering. So he cut out a piece of blank white paper the size of a dollar from his pocket and stuck it in the coin changer. It worked! The machine was broke.
